It depends on your skin shade.. if light skinned, go reddish-blond or Kathy Griffin-red (not dark red). If medium to olive skinned, go with dark brown or black-make sure you have bangs to hightlight your eyes. I have green eyes too, but one is green with a little blue and the other is a dark olive green and have strawberry blond hair.
