What is the best hair color for covering up the gray?

Stick with Clairol if you have to use an over the counter product. (Garner Nutrias is NOT good for your hair.) Look for the words ';Covers Gray'; on the box. You must leave it on for the Full 45 minutes. Make sure you are using color safe shampoo and conditioner. Rinse with cool water to seal it in.

Wait two days to shampoo next time.

In about a month or so you will need to do the new growth. Try to apply the color to only the new growth so you won't damage the hair that is already processed.

Best of Luck! What is the best hair color for covering up the gray?
Try a darker gray. Hee hee. What is the best hair color for covering up the gray?
Always get a shade darker than your target color, coz white hair lightens the color
black or brown
well if you have light hair the best way to go would be whitish blond.if you have medium, brown and if dark, black.good luck!
definitely black
My mum always has light blonde highlights and she looks greate... ppl think the bits of grey is just old blonde... soo i would go for the blonde highlights!! hope this helped!! x
BROWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!ACTUALLY BLACK IS TOO DARK BUT BROWN IS JUST THE BEST
everyone i know seems to do either blonde or red to cover up grey. Loreal preference i hear is pretty good for that.
If there is a Sally Beauty Supply in your area, they have a color line by Clairol called Gray busters(or something very similar to that, it's been awhile.) It has great coverage, and you don't HAVE to have gray hair to use it. You will need to by your developer(get 20 volume for permanent) and bottles and gloves, but it s actually cheaper if you dye your hair often, and the dye is a little more professional then stuff at the store. The girls really can't help you pick out your dye as a rule, but they can show you what all you need to get to mix it with.
