I'm really tight on money and dont have $80 for hi lites. I have VERY dark blonde hair and i'm considering just coloring my hair a lighter blonde at home like I used to do years ago. What would be the best a home hair color to do as far as color acuracy, not drying it out, and all that?
Thanks! What is the best hair color to buy?
hi!
depends if you want all over highlights or the one u can apply with brush only.
but u can totally do it at home. the best would be if you have extra pair of hands (your friend etc.), but you can manage on your own as well.
for all over highlights try ';frost %26amp; glow'; by revlon(any drugstore with hair colors). - it includes the ';pull though cap'; and it is easy to use. i don't know the price, maybe about $14?
i also like loreal for home highlighting kits.
i actually went to the salon and it didn't turn out as great, i'd be better off doing it myself again.
good luck
p.s. loreal had good ones too - you can usually see the shades on the other side of the box. it will show you for what natural color is the highlighting kit ok.What is the best hair color to buy?
Go to Sally Beauty Supply, the employees will look at your hair and tell you what to buy and how to use it. The color they have there is closer to what stylists use and less damaging.
Go to www.sallybeauty.com for locations
Good Luck!
different har dyes work better on different hair.
you'll just have to use different ones till you find one best suited to you
that's what i had to do
I would definetly go with a light blonde because it would blend in good with the dark blonde colour, %26amp; just use some foils, you can easily do that yourself :)
I would go with a bleach. Otherwise a lot of the box dyes will give you a red tone. Bleach will give you blonde streaks..just be careful. Home highlighting is not easy, you would be better off saving your pennies and waiting for a professional.
